Flowers are one of my favorite things to shoot. I go crazy every spring and summer, it is my favorite time to shoot outdoors. So many colors, so many shapes, so many smells. I get a little depressed during the winter, but I have my virtual garden of thousands of shots of flowers to scroll through on snowy days. I love them in their natural form, but I also enjoy playing with textures and overlays in Photoshop. Photoshop is sooooo powerful, the possibilities are endless. I can’t even draw a stickman properly, but in my little photoshop studio I can turn my everyday pics into little works of art. I learn a lot of new techniques by just playing around, I have been using PS for about 10 years so I am pretty proficient now, but youtube has thousands of videos. If you ever want to play with textures, that is a great resource. I spend hours scouring through site like deviantart.com and pinterest looking for textures, brushes, overlays, actions, etc… Many photographers are purists, my better half especially, they seem to feel like anything other than what the sensor recorded is not real. I agree with their point to an extent, but I also feel like it is my shot I will do what I want with it.. hahaha.. Here are a few that I have done, if anybody is interested I can post a tutorial or some links.. Thanks for visiting and have a great day!!
